Important Notice Regarding Debit Card Usage for Incidentals

As a valued guest of the Orange Motel, we want to ensure full transparency regarding our incidental deposit policy, especially if you choose to use a debit card.

A temporary authorization hold of $250 will be placed on your debit card at check-in. This is a common practice in the hotel industry to cover potential charges such as damages or incidental fees.

Please be aware of the following:

  • Impact on Funds: This authorization directly reduces the available balance in your checking account.

  • Release Time: While we release our hold immediately upon your check-out, the time it takes for the funds to become available in your account is determined solely by your bank or financial institution.

  • Potential Delay: This process varies greatly by bank and could take up to 25 days after your departure.

If immediate access to your full funds is essential, we strongly recommend using a major credit card for the incidental deposit. With a credit card, the hold affects your line of credit, not your cash funds, and is typically released much faster.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please speak with our front desk staff.
